Laser Photo Rejuvenation

IPL treatment improves the appearance of photo aged skin, most benign brown pigments (freckles), and redness caused by broken capillaries ( thread veins), rosacea and birth marks. The process is ideal for patients with active lifestyles because the procedure requires no downtime and has a low risk of side effects. It offers a safe, non-invasive solution that can be tailored to your individual concerns and skin type. This treatment can be used to treat the face and body.

What is involved in treatment?

At your first visit we would do full consultation with regard to cons and pros of the treatment and full skin assessment and patch test is performed to assess your suitability for treatment. Your first treatment could start 1 week later.

The area is first cleansed and then a cool soothing gel is applied. The smooth glass surface of a cool IPL hand piece is gently pressed onto your skin. You will feel a slight sting, like the snapping of a small rubber band. Immediately after treatment ice packs will be applied to reduce stinging, redness and swelling. For optimal results depending on the severity of the condition a course of 4 to 6 treatment at monthly interval will be required to provide the best long-term results and minimal adverse effect.

Each treatment takes about twenty minutes. It is important to minimise sun exposure before and after treatment. After treatment you may experience some, none or all of the following skin changes, i.e. swelling, redness up to 24 hours ,darkening of freckles/pigmentation and age spots for few days.

This treatment is not recommended during pregnancy, if you have recent sun exposure or fake tan, recent roaccuttane treatment in the last 6 months, active cold sore or skin infection in the treated area.
